Know where your specialty coffee comes from
This fully washed Ethiopian coffee comes from Chelbesa in the Gedeb area, where Abera Teshome grows it at an altitude of over 2000 meters. As a smallholder, Abera focuses on microlots that are processed through Ephtah Specialty Coffee.

Gedeb is home to over 300,000 people, where the main religion is Christian Protestant, though there are also Orthodox communities. The local language is Gedeo. Towards the end of the harvest season, on January 18th, the region celebrates its annual New Year festival. The staple food in Gedeb is Enset (false banana). The Siqe River serves as a natural border between Gedeo and Guji, as well as the Southern Regional State and Oromia.
